Harley-Davidson was founded in 1903 and is one of the two major American motorcycle manufacturers to survive the Great Depression, alongside its historical rival Indian. The company became an iconic brand with owner clubs, events and a company-sponsored museum.
It is noted for a style of customisation that gave rise to the chopper. Its traditional line was made of heavy, air-cooled cruisers above 700 cc, joined later by the VRSC platform in 2002 and middle-weight Street models in 2014.
