History of the Case IH JXU
A utility tractor’s day
The film follows a JXU 95 through three jobs, harrowing, spreading manure and drilling. That is what utility tractors exist for: one machine doing the lighter cultivation, haulage and seeding work of a mixed farm instead of a fleet of specialist machines.
The JXU in the range
The JXU sits close to the JX in the Case IH line, below the Maxxum and Puma ranges. The sources used here describe the brand and its ranges as a whole and do not set out the JXU’s engine, transmission or production years, so the page does not give them.
Design and features
- Versatile machine: harrowing, manure spreading and drilling with one tractor.
- Utility class: below the Maxxum and Puma ranges.
- Modern Case IH: from the range built largely at St Valentin in Austria.
- Working tractor: the film shows ordinary farm work, not a show display.
Case IH JXU versions
- Case IH JXU 95: the model shown in the film.
- Case IH JX: the related utility range on its own page.
- Case IH Maxxum: the larger range above the utility models.
The related range is on the Case IH JX page, and the bigger tractors on the Case IH Maxxum and Case IH Puma pages. All are in the Case section.
