History of the Case 621
What a wheel loader does
A wheel loader is a four-wheel-drive machine with a large bucket on two arms at the front. It loads lorries, moves soil and gravel, and works stockpiles. Case lists wheel loaders among its main products, and notes that they are used on farms as well as building sites, where dairies and feedlots need large amounts of material moved.
The G-Series of 2016
In 2016 Case replaced its wheel loader range with the G-Series, seven new models running from the 521G to the 1121G. The numbering follows the size of the machine, so a 621 is one step above a 521 and a 721 one above that.
621 and 721
The 621 in the film is doing exactly the work the machine was designed for, moving and digging. The 721 and 721C are the larger versions of the same idea; the old posts carrying those names point here. The sources used for this page do not give engine or bucket figures for either model.
