History of the Case CX
Excavators in the Case line
Case lists excavators first among the construction machines it builds, next to backhoe loaders, wheel loaders, motor graders, rollers, crawler dozers, skid steers and compact track loaders. The CX name covers that excavator family.

The CX750D
In 2017, at Conexpo-Con/Agg, Case launched the CX750D excavator. The company described it as the largest and most powerful machine in the Case excavator line, a useful marker of how far the range had grown from the compact machines it began with.
Compact machines too
Case also builds mini excavators, the small machines used for trenching, landscaping and work in tight spaces. The old posts that redirect here, the CX and the CX210, are names from this range, though the sources used do not describe either model individually.
Design and features
- Wide range: from mini excavators to the CX750D.
- Tracked and wheeled: the CX family covers both kinds of undercarriage.
- Flagship of 2017: the CX750D was the largest in the line at its launch.
- Core product: excavators head the list of machines Case builds.
Case CX versions
- Case CX210: a mid-size excavator, one of the names in the old posts.
- Case CX750D (2017): the largest and most powerful model in the line.
- Case mini excavators: the compact machines at the small end of the range.
The loaders are on the Case 621 and 721 and Case 580 pages, and the tracked tractors on the Case 450 page. All of them are in the Case section.
