The Pegaso Europa was the long-distance version of the 1065 lorry, the best-known member of Pegaso’s 1060 range. Survivors carry the badges 1065 Europa and 1065 L Europa, with registration plates from 1974 and 1978, and the Europa name also appears on a 1095 model.

History of the Pegaso Europa
The Europa belongs to the 1060 block of Pegaso models, the closely numbered lorries with which ENASA covered Spanish road haulage from the 1960s. The 1065 was the best known of that group, and the Europa was its long-distance variant, badged on the vehicles as 1065 Europa or 1065 L Europa.

Pegaso reached its production peak in 1974 with more than 26,000 vehicles in a year, and its lorries worked across Spain and in export markets such as the Benelux countries, Venezuela and Cuba. The surviving Europas date from exactly that period: a 1974 example was photographed still in working use, and a 1978 one carries Ourense plates from Galicia.
The marque ended with the sale of ENASA to Iveco in 1990. The last Pegaso lorry, a Troner, was built in 1994 and the last Pegaso engine in 1995, after which the name survived only on commemorative models.
