History of the Iveco EuroClass
The EuroClass appeared in 1993 as the successor of the Iveco 370 coach. Two versions were made: the HD, 12 metres long and 3.56 metres high, and the Normal in lengths of 10.5 and 12 metres. The HD won the Coach of the Year 1995 award, decided in 1994.

Until 2001 the coach was built on the Iveco 380 chassis with the Fiat 8460.41S engine, rated at 350 hp in the Normal version and 380 hp in the HD. From 2002 the buses were sold under the Irisbus brand as the EuroClass NEW, on the Irisbus 389 chassis, with an Iveco Cursor or a Renault engine of 350 hp in the Normal version and 430 hp in the HD.
The coach was used by many Italian transport companies, among them Cotral in Lazio with several hundred vehicles, SITA, the Livorno transport company and the Abruzzo regional operator. It also served with the Italian army, the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza and the fire service, and some units were sold in France and Eastern Europe. Production stopped in 2007.
