History of the Iveco Acco
The Acco was launched in 1972 with a traditional cab and began a family of lorries that later received the EuroTech cab and, in 2008, the cab of the Stralis. The name comes from the Australian C-Line Cab Over, and the lorry was made by the local branch of International Harvester before it adopted the Iveco badge.

In 2014 the Acco received a restyling inside and out. The main gain was a choice of 4×2, 6×4 and 8×4 drive layouts together with an electronic stability control system, and the engine range was renewed with Euro 5 units of 8.9 litres and outputs between 284 and 345 hp. The Cummins six is a common-rail design, and the gross weights run from 16.5 tonnes for the two-axle lorry to 30 tonnes for the eight-wheeler.
The 90,000th Acco was built on 25 September 2019 at the Dandenong plant in Australia, and the last Euro 5 Acco with the historic chassis, itself an evolution of the 1972 original, followed on 30 October 2019. At the same time Iveco announced the Euro 6 Acco, based on the locally built Stralis X-Way chassis and planned for the first months of 2020.

Iveco Acco versions
- Early Acco (1972 onwards): International Harvester cab-over with a traditional cab.
- EuroTech-cab Acco: the family later adopted the EuroTech cab.
- Stralis-cab Acco (from 2008): the cab of the European Stralis.
- 2014 restyle: ESC, 4×2, 6×4 and 8×4 layouts and Euro 5 engines of 284 to 345 hp.
- Euro 6 Acco (from 2020): a new generation on the Stralis X-Way chassis.
The cab of the later Acco came from the EuroTech and then the Stralis. More Iveco lorries are in the Iveco collection.
