The Tomos Flexer was a small automatic moped built from 1998 to 2019 and familiar across the former Yugoslavia as a postal delivery bike. A 49 cc two-stroke engine drove through a two-speed automatic gearbox, and later versions lost the rear mudguard of the early bikes.

History of the Tomos Flexer
A long-running small moped

Tomos built the Flexer from 1998 until 2019, through the company’s final two decades. The moped used a 49 cc two-stroke engine with an automatic gearbox of two speeds, fed with a mixture of petrol and two-stroke oil. Tomos quoted a top speed of 25 to 50 km/h depending on the version and market.
The Flexer became especially common as a postal moped in all the countries of the former Yugoslavia. The newer examples dropped the rear mudguard that the older models had, the visible change between early and late Flexers.
