History of the Tomos Arrow

The 2000s range

In the 2000s Tomos introduced new models such as the MC Off-Road Line, Revival, Streetmate and Arrow. The Arrow was offered as the Arrow and the Arrow R, the latter described by Tomos as the Youngster version. In 2006 the long-serving A35 engine was replaced by the A55, which had lighter rotating parts and better power output and was used on all 50 cc applications.

The last years

Tomos mopeds had been sold in the United States since 1976 and continued to be exported through the 2000s. In the 2010s the company returned to the US market with a redesigned Sprint and the new Racing TT, but it went bankrupt in January 2019.

Design and features

  • Arrow and Arrow R: two versions, the R listed by Tomos as the Youngster.
  • A55 engine: from 2006 a 49 cc two-stroke with lighter rotating parts and better power output than the A35.
  • Part of the 2000s range: introduced together with the Revival, Streetmate and MC Off-Road Line.
  • Export model: part of the range that Tomos sold in Europe and North America.

Tomos Arrow versions

  • Arrow: the standard model.
  • Arrow R (Youngster): the version listed by Tomos under the Youngster name.

The Streetmate and Revival belong to the same 2000s range. More Tomos mopeds are in the Tomos collection.
