History of the Tomos Streetmate
The 2000s range
In the 2000s Tomos introduced a group of new models that included the MC Off-Road Line, Revival, Streetmate and Arrow. The Streetmate was offered in two forms, the Streetmate and the Streetmate R. In 2006 the A35 engine was replaced by the A55, which had lighter rotating parts and better power output and was used on all 50 cc applications.
The last years
Tomos mopeds had been sold in the United States since 1976, and the company continued to export through the 2000s. In the 2010s it returned to the US market with a redesigned Sprint and the new Racing TT, but the company went bankrupt in January 2019.
