History of the Peugeot Type 176
The best Peugeot could offer

The Type 176 was Peugeot’s top of the range model from 1925 to 1928. Its 2,493 cc four-cylinder engine was a more modern design than the earlier units, with a better balance of power and efficiency despite the relatively modest capacity for a large car.
Performance
The result was better performance than the model’s predecessors: the Type 176 reached a maximum speed of 110 km/h, a strong figure for a French car of the mid-1920s. The engine’s efficiency, rather than raw size, was the point of the design.
Later fame
The Type 176 later appeared in the film Midnight in Paris, where it served as a period vehicle for the Paris scenes of the 1920s.
