The New Holland TT series is the simplest end of the company’s tractor range: low-cost machines with basic equipment, sold in large numbers in Turkey, Asia and other markets where a farm needs a tractor that will run on little maintenance. The film below shows a TT 65 at work. The sources used for this page describe the company and its factories, not the series.

History of the New Holland TT series
Tractors for farms without a dealer next door
The TT series belongs to the part of New Holland’s business that serves farmers who need a basic machine: no electronics, no complicated transmission, few parts to break and any workshop able to repair it. Models of this kind are bought in tens of thousands in Turkey, India and Pakistan, where small farms and short seasons make simplicity worth more than sophistication.
The factories that build them
New Holland builds these tractors where they are sold. The Türk Traktör joint venture with the Koç group, signed in 1998, works from Ankara, where Fiat tractors had been built since the 1967 joint venture; New Holland FIAT India has been a wholly owned subsidiary at Greater Noida near New Delhi since 1996; and there are partner factories in Dera Ghazi Khan in Pakistan. The company says it is present in 170 countries, and machines of this class are a large part of why.
The tractor in the film
The film below shows a TT 65 in Turkey, doing the kind of work these tractors are bought for. The sources used here do not give the series’ engines, powers or production years, and this page does not invent them; what they do record is the strategy behind the machines, which is to build simple tractors inside the markets that need them.
