History of the MAN TGM

MAN introduced the TGM and TGL in 2005 as its first light and medium-duty trucks. Until then the TG range, launched in 1999, had consisted of the heavy TGA. The TGM and TGL were the first MAN trucks in the lighter weight classes.

Updates

In 2012 all new TG models were revealed with a chrome Lion grille and updated styling, largely the same powertrain but now Euro 6 compliant. The 2016 facelift brought a refreshed lower bumper and a black-backed Lion logo on the grille. A minor facelift in 2019 added a refreshed interior and instrument cluster and Euro 6d engines. The third generation arrived in 2020 with all-new styling and a fully digital instrument cluster, a first for a MAN truck.
