History of the Hyundai Chorus
The Chorus was Hyundai’s small bus for tourists and private operators. Most versions can be told apart by a “Chorus” badge at the front, while the ordinary Hyundai badge usually sits at the back. The range was mainly sold as tourist buses; the main competitor in Japan, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and South America was the Kia Combi.

The first generation, built from 1988 to 1994, was designed with Mitsubishi Fuso, which supplied the platform as well; it was also known under the Hyundai Mighty name. The second generation of 1994 to 1998 was again a joint Hyundai and Mitsubishi Fuso design, and it was in this period that the familiar Private, Tour and Town versions were offered. Production ended in 1998, when the County arrived as the Chorus’s successor.
