History of the Suzuki Let’s
An Indian scooter
The Let’s is built by Suzuki Motorcycle India and was presented to the public at the 2014 Auto Expo. It is a compact urban scooter of the kind that has become the mainstay of Indian two-wheel sales.
The SEP engine
The scooter’s engine introduced Suzuki’s SEP technology, short for Suzuki Eco Performance. The changes are internal and modest in appearance: lighter rocker arms and a different valve angle, both aimed at raising combustion efficiency. SEP later became a standard part of Suzuki’s small-engine line-up in India.
Design and features
- SEP engine: Suzuki Eco Performance with lighter rocker arms.
- Revised valve angle: a small change made for better combustion efficiency.
- Indian production: built locally by Suzuki Motorcycle India.
Suzuki Let’s versions
- Let’s (2014): the Indian scooter with the SEP engine.
SEP engines later appeared on the Access 125 and the Burgman Street. More Suzukis are in the Suzuki collection.
