The New Holland 7308 is not a tractor but a front-end loader: the film below shows one fitted to a TC30 compact tractor. Loaders of this kind turn a small tractor into a yard machine for muck, gravel and bales. The sources used for this page describe the company and its compact range rather than the attachment itself.

History of the New Holland 7308
Loaders and compact tractors
New Holland has sold front loaders with its tractors for decades, and the 7308 belongs to that programme: a loader matched to the compact TC tractors, which were the brand’s answer to the smallholdings, stables and municipal buyers that want one machine for many jobs. The film below shows a 7308 mounted on a TC30, a tractor with a four-wheel-drive front axle, with only 51 hours recorded on it — a machine that had barely been used when it was filmed.
Why a loader matters
A front loader is what makes a compact tractor useful: with a bucket on the front it moves soil, gravel and feed, and with forks it handles bales and pallets. That is why the loader is usually bought with the tractor and why loaders are listed as models of their own, with their own numbers, lift capacities and brackets. The sources used here do not give the 7308’s lift capacity or its years of production, and this page does not invent them.
The range around it
Compact tractors have remained part of the New Holland offer: the company’s product list still includes hobby tractors and utility vehicles alongside the full-size T5-T9 tractor classes, and front loaders are offered on the light T5 tractors as well as on the compacts. All of it now sits inside CNH Industrial, the group formed when New Holland and Case merged in 1999.
Design and features
- Front loader, not a tractor: an attachment matched to compact New Holland tractors.
- TC30 fitment: the film shows it mounted on a TC30 with four-wheel drive.
- Yard work: designed for loading and carrying rather than field cultivation.
- Numbered like a machine: loaders get their own model numbers and specifications.
