At the North American International Auto Show which was held in January 2016 the premium Japanese brand Lexus has revealed to the international community its new sports car called Lexus LC 500. The novelty is a serial version of the experimental LF-LC model, which was first presented to public in 2012. Externally, the show-car practically hasn’t changed a lot except for the new four-seated luxury interior and powerful technical stuffing.
Undoubtedly, Lexus LC 500 hits the attention by external insolence, expressive style and incredible courage: boldly decorated with LED optics “stuffing”, huge radiator grille “spindle”, sculpted bumper, “floating” rear pillars and a huge pair of exhaust pipes.
Overall length of the Japanese coupe of premium class is 4670 mm, its width fits in 1920 mm and the height does not exceed 1345 mm. The gap between the front and rear pairs of wheels equal 2870 mm. The new two-door Lexus is based on 21-inch “rollers”, dressed in tires of a standard size (245/40 R21 in the front and 275/35 / R21 in the rear).
The interior of Lexus LC 500 welcomes with the atmosphere of luxury and comfort, elegant design and high quality execution. Behind a beautiful multifunctional steering wheel with relief shapes hides a modern digital “shield” of devices harmoniously combined with sensuous styling of the inner world.
Finishing materials fully comply with the premium status of the “two-door” – expensive leather, Alcantara, natural wood and aluminum. Front passengers of LC 500 fall into the arms of gorgeous seats with integrated head restraints, pronounced support on the sides and a huge number of various adjustments. As for the rear seats – they are “purely formal” – adult passengers would struggle to accommodate with comfort on the rear sofa (this is evident from the landing formula “2 + 2”).
Under the hood Lexus LC 500 hides petrol V8 atmospheric engine with a displacement of 5.0 liters (4969 cubic centimeters), equipped with a combined fuel injection, the return of which counts 467 horsepower at 7,100 revolutions / minute and 529 Nm of torque at 4800 rev / min.
In the US, Lexus LC 500 will become available in the first half of 2017 at an estimated price of 100 thousand euros. In a standard configuration the novelty “flaunts” with dual zone “climate”, front and side airbags, 12.3-inch multimedia screen, leather interior, heated front seats, “climate”, electric drive, Pioneer “music” and a large number of high-tech equipment. As for the “extras” – customers may order sport “bucket” seats, Mark Levinson audio and several other premium “chips”.
