History of the Fiat 507

A revised 505

The 507 belonged to the generation of Fiat models of the mid-1920s. Rather than an entirely new design, it was developed from the Fiat 505, from which it took its general arrangement, with modifications to the suspension and the brakes. It was built during 1926 and 1927.

Production

Fiat produced 3,700 examples of the 507 in the course of its production run, a modest figure that reflects the short life of the model before it was superseded in the range.

Design and features

  • Developed from the 505: the 507 carried over the earlier car’s basis.
  • Revised suspension: the chassis was modified compared with the 505.
  • Revised brakes: braking was also changed for the new model.

Fiat 507 versions

  • Fiat 507: the standard passenger car of 1926–1927.

The 507 was developed from the Fiat 505 and was followed in the range by models such as the Fiat 509. More cars are in the Fiat collection.
