The E-Z-GO ST is a working vehicle rather than a golf car. It is one of two series — the other is the MPT — that E-Z-GO lists next to its golf cars, and it is built to leave the course and work: higher ground clearance, partly off-road tyres, and the same choice between an electric motor and a petrol engine.

Based on one source: the ST is described in one paragraph of the German Wikipedia article on E-Z-GO, which gives no model years or production figures. The 2008 ST 4×4 with an 18 hp Honda engine is the specification of the example in the video attached to this record.
History of the E-Z-GO ST
E-Z-GO grew out of golf cars and stayed with them alone until 1973, but the same basic vehicle was too useful to keep on the fairway. In the German Wikipedia article the ST is named together with the MPT as the range of working vehicles: machines available with a petrol or an electric motor, fitted with high ground clearance and, in part, off-road tyres, so that they can be used in landscape maintenance as well as on the large grounds of hotels and resorts.
What separates it from a golf car
The difference is in the chassis rather than the power unit. A golf car is meant for prepared paths and short distances; the ST is meant for grass, gravel and works sites, which is why it rides higher and can be ordered on more aggressive tyres. The choice of drive stays the same, because quiet electric operation is as valuable in a park or a hotel garden as it is on a course.
The ST 4×4
The best-documented version of the series is the ST 4×4, a four-wheel-drive utility vehicle with a petrol engine and a tipping cargo bed; examples from 2008 have been offered at auction with an 18 hp Honda engine. That combination — four driven wheels, a tipping bed and a petrol engine — is the clearest sign of how far the model moved from its golf car origins, and it is what makes the ST a small utility truck rather than a stretched golf car.
