The E-Z-GO MPT is a small working truck rather than a golf car. Together with the ST it forms the working half of the E-Z-GO range, distinguished from the golf cars by ground clearance, tyres and the loads it is meant to carry — though it keeps the same choice between an electric motor and a petrol engine.

Based on one source: the MPT is described in one paragraph of the German Wikipedia article on E-Z-GO, which gives no model years, dimensions or payload figures. The 1990s logistics vehicles of the marque are described under the XI series.
History of the E-Z-GO MPT
E-Z-GO built golf cars exclusively until 1973 and still claims to lead that market, but its range later widened to small multi-purpose vehicles and to commercial vehicles for in-plant transport. The MPT belongs to that widening: in the German Wikipedia article it is named with the ST as a series of working vehicles, sold with petrol or electric power, high ground clearance and partly off-road tyres, and used in landscape maintenance and on large hotel grounds.
MPT 1000 and MPT 1200
The MPT line is known in at least two versions. The MPT 1000 appears in photographs as a compact flat-bed utility cart, while the MPT 1200 is the version that turns up in sales listings of the period as a utility cart too. Both follow the same recipe as the rest of the working range: an open cab or none at all, a cargo bed at the rear, larger wheels than a golf car and a choice of electric or petrol drive.
How it differs from the ST
The MPT and the ST are offered side by side, and the sources describe them together as the working vehicles of the marque rather than as separate engineering families. In practice the MPT is the load carrier — a small truck for parks, estates and building sites — while the ST is the version that also appears in four-wheel-drive form with a tipping bed. Both share the golf car maker’s approach: simple, light, low-speed vehicles that do one job well.
Design and features
- Load carrying: a cargo bed instead of passenger seats, for parks, estates and sites.
- Petrol or electric: the same power choice as the golf cars.
- High ground clearance: built to leave prepared paths.
- Off-road tyres: fitted in part, for grass and gravel.
- Two known versions: the MPT 1000 and the MPT 1200.
E-Z-GO MPT versions
- MPT 1000: the compact flat-bed utility cart shown in the photograph below.
- MPT 1200: the larger utility cart of the same line.
- Electric versions: quiet drive for resorts, parks and indoor sites.
- Petrol versions: combustion-engined working vehicles of the series.
The other working series is the E-Z-GO ST; the golf cars are the TXT and the RXV. The marque itself is described on the E-Z-GO brand page, and more vehicles are in the E-Z-GO collection.
