History of the Suzuki B-King

From show bike to production

The B-King was first shown in 2000 as a concept machine with a supercharged Hayabusa engine, a deliberately exaggerated streetfighter study. The production version appeared in 2007, using the 1,340 cc engine of the second-generation Hayabusa that arrived for 2008, but with different exhaust and intake systems of its own.

Design and features

  • Hayabusa power: the 1,340 cc four-cylinder from the 2008 Hayabusa.
  • Streetfighter style: unfaired, upright and deliberately aggressive.
  • Different breathing: its own intake and exhaust rather than the Hayabusa’s.

Suzuki B-King versions

  • Concept (2000): the supercharged show bike.
  • Production B-King (2007): the road version with the Hayabusa engine.

The B-King shares its engine with the Suzuki Hayabusa and its unfaired approach with the GSR750. More Suzukis are in the Suzuki collection.
