History of the Mitsubishi Savrin
A Chariot Grandis for Taiwan

The first-generation Savrin was a locally assembled badge-engineered Mitsubishi Chariot Grandis, produced and sold in Taiwan by China Motor Corporation. Because of an agreement with Soueast Motors of mainland China, the same version was sold there as the Soueast Sovereign.
Second generation
The second-generation Savrin debuted in 2004 with redesigned front and rear fascias. It was sold in Taiwan only and received another facelift in 2009 with a new grille, new tail lamps and a redesigned rear bumper. Production continued until 2014.
What the material covers
The English article on the Savrin is short and concentrates on which version was sold where, so this page is short as well and does not describe engines, trim levels or the interior of either generation.
