History of the Kymco MXU
Engine range
The MXU is a quad produced by Kymco with four engine options of 50, 150, 300 and 500 cc, available in two-stroke and four-stroke versions. The 50 and 150 use forced-air cooling, while the larger 300 and 500 engines are liquid-cooled. Fuel capacity ranges from 8 litres on the 50 to 17 litres on the 500, and in Italy the quad was sold in only two colours, black and red.

Place in the range
The MXU sits alongside Kymco’s other ATV lines, the sportier Maxxer and the KXR and UXV ranges. Kymco has built quads since the 2000s and also supplies engines to other manufacturers, including BMW.
