History of the Infiniti G37

The G37 was the fourth generation of the Infiniti G. Like the V35 before it, the V36 was a rebadged Nissan Skyline sold in the United States and Canada, and it was the generation that added the hardtop coupe convertible to the line. The FM platform beneath it also underpins the Nissan 370Z and shares components with the Infiniti M, EX and FX.

The naming rules changed around this car. From the 2014 model year Infiniti gave every passenger car a name starting with Q, and the G was due to be replaced by the Q50; the G37 itself came back for the 2015 model year as the Q40.
