History of the Ford Territory
The Australian Territory
The first Ford Territory was an SUV produced by Ford Australia from 2004 to 2016. It was developed and built locally at a time when Ford Australia still designed and manufactured its own vehicles, and it shared its engineering with the Australian Falcon range that was also built there.

The Chinese Territory
The second Territory is an SUV produced by JMC-Ford, the joint venture between Ford and Jiangling Motors, in China since 2018. It is a completely separate vehicle from the Australian car and is sold in the Chinese market.
Two cars, one badge
The two vehicles have nothing in common except the name, which Ford has used in different markets at different times. Buyers looking for a Territory need to know which market and which period the car comes from.
