History of the Citroën Hypnos
The concept

The Hypnos was presented at the 2008 Paris Motor Show as a five-door crossover powered by a diesel-hybrid drivetrain, with an electric motor driving the rear axle. Its most distinctive feature is the interior, with rainbow-coloured, offset seats and a system that analyses the driver’s face to gauge his state of mind and adjusts the cabin lighting and the fragrance of the scented air freshener accordingly.
Afterwards
Citroën announced that a diesel-hybrid engine would be available in all its models by 2015. The concept appeared at several auto shows, among them the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed, and some of its styling features later appeared in the Mitsubishi ASX-based Citroën C4 Aircross compact SUV, on sale from the first half of 2012, and in the Citroën DS4 and DS5.
