In 1986, Audi introduced a new generation of Audi 80 1.8 which was presented and firstly sold in 1987 in the European market. The model was based on the new B3 platform, had a new aerodynamic shape and galvanized chassis. It was the first mid-size car that had a fully galvanized body, allowing resist corrosion for longer. This protection has been so effective that Audi has increased the warranty period of corrosion, the term of which the preparatory phase of production was expected to reach 8 years, but in the end, was increased to 12 years; Audi still continues to use galvanized body for current models.
The exterior is classic – Audi 80 1.8 has something in common with Mercedes from the image point of view. This car is considered to be sportier than Volkswagen and more prestigious than Scorpio (confer the photos). It is like a buffet of reddish wood in the living room: timidly, but tastefully. To cut it short, the car is impressive and undemanding car for everyday trips around town.
The interior is pleasant and cozy. It is deliberately austere, all is very functional and deliberately as well as fine and elegant. The special feature is the richness of shelves and glove compartments allowing carrying a lot of useful little things. Look at the photos of Audi 80 1.8. Undoubtedly, it is time-proven car!
