History of the Aprilia MX

The MX 50 is the moped of the series and recalls its bigger sister with its squared, slightly unusual lines. It was built from 2002 to 2004 and permanently replaced by the SX 50. Compared with the RX 50 it was not enlarged, as is usual, while the wheels with their tyres were suitably replaced.

The MX 125 is the larger version, built from 2004 to 2006. The only series, presented in 2004, took the colours of the MXV 4.5 that took part in the motocross world championship. In 2006 a new colouring took up the colours of the SXV 4.5, and from 2007 the bike was no longer in production. It is based on the Aprilia RX 125, so it is not only a sister of the enduro model but also its continuation: it took practically everything from the RX, with a bigger brake system, smaller wheels and smooth tyres. It was replaced by the Aprilia SX 125 in 2007.
