Mitsubishi Fuso is not one model but the name of Mitsubishi’s truck and bus business. It refers to the Fuso company, officially the Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation, and to Fuso Trucks America, formerly Mitsubishi Fuso Trucks America. In Indonesia the name was also applied to earlier models of the Mitsubishi Fuso Fighter.

The company is now part of Daimler Truck, a subsidiary of the Mercedes-Benz Group. Its best-known models are the Canter light truck, described as being manufactured since 1963 and now in its eighth generation, the Fighter medium truck and the Rosa bus, all of them sold across the world and, in the Canter’s case, in more than 150 countries.

What this page covers

The material for this page is the short English Wikipedia entry that separates the Mitsubishi Fuso name from the models sold under it. The individual vehicles have their own pages: the Canter, the Fighter and the Rosa. This page is therefore a short guide to the name and the company behind it rather than a model history.
