Maruti Suzuki, the Indian division of the Japanese company has declassified its compact sedan under the name Ciaz that has every chance to appear on the markets of other countries. The four-door sedan is a series version of the Authentic concept model presented in Shanghai in 2013. Suzuki Ciaz will replace SX4 model which eventually appears to be not very popular among buyers.
Suzuki Ciaz has received extended proportions and lowered fit which combined with the chromeplated accents and sharp lines give the car both elegant and sporty look. The car palette of shades adds nobility to its appearance, while special color particles in its basis provide additional blaze. It is worth mentioning that Suzuki Ciaz has exceptional chrome radiator grille in the shape of a polygon, an unusual headlights configuration and an increased size of the LED rear optics.
The length of the sedan is 4 490 mm, width – 1730 and height – 1485 mm, and the axles distance of 2 650 mm. Suzuki Ciaz is equipped with a luggage compartment volume of 510 liters, and the weight of the novelty makes from 1 010 to 1 105 kg depending on the engine type.
Under the hood the novelty has a 1.4-liter gasoline engine created by Fiat. Its motor power is 90 horsepower. As an option customers will be able to choose a 1.3-liter turbodiesel version with a power unit of 89 horsepower.
Suzuki Ciaz will receive an extensive list of on-board equipment, including lights c lenses multifunction steering wheel, auto-dimming mirror, multimedia system with navigation and touch screen control (with USB, AUX and Bluetooth interfaces), climate control system with rear air vents, auto-launch button and 16-inch alloy wheels. Customers will have an opportunity to equip the car with a rear view camera, parking sensors and two-tone leather trim with decorative wood exhibits.
The spacious car with a good set of additional equipment may become very popular not only in India but also in other countries.
