History of the Infiniti Q30 concept
Infiniti showed the Q30 concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2013. The car pointed at a small premium hatchback, a class the brand had not entered before, and it was the visible result of the technology-sharing agreement between Nissan, Renault and Mercedes-Benz.

The production Q30 was based on the Q30 concept and used the third-generation Mercedes-Benz A-Class platform. It was unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and went on sale in 2015, with petrol and diesel engines shared with the A-Class. Production began at Nissan’s Sunderland plant in England in December 2015, supplying Europe, the United States and China, and deliveries started on 20 January 2016. A modified version with higher ground clearance and crossover styling was sold as the QX30. Production ceased in 2019 as Infiniti withdrew from the British and European markets.
