In late June 2015 one of the most anticipated novelties from Korean company Hyundai was officially presented to public – a subcompact crossover under a sonorous name of «Creta».
The exterior of Hyundai Creta is executed in accordance with the corporate style of the brand called “flowing lines“, which gives a plaine but also vibrant and dynamic look to the crossover. The car flaunts a chrome grille of hexagonal shape, a rapid silhouette with expressive “edge”, stylish lighting equipment and “off-road” undyed plastic kit by the perimeter of the body. Beautiful alloy wheels with a diameter up to 17 inches add exceptional integrity to the appearance of Creta.
By its external dimensions Hyundai Crete falls under the category of “B-class”: 4270 mm long, 1780 mm wide and 1630 mm in height. The bottom is separated from the roadway by the clearance of 185 mm.
The interior of a crossover is made in the spirit of “fresh” models of the Korean brand, and its design will be completely dependent on the equipment level, In particular it concerns the center console – a radio player or a 7-inch multimedia complex, air conditioner or a full ‘climate control’. The internal decoration of Hyundai Creta will have a five-seat layout and from 420 to 1100 liters of luggage space, depending on the rear sofa position.
The crossover will have 3 options of power units: Under the hood of the car will be placed a gasoline 1.6-liter “Quartet» Gamma Dual VTVT with capacity of 123 horsepower, diesel engine CRDi VGT 1.6-liter, issuing 128 “horses”, and 1.4-liter 90-hp turbodiesel CRDi the potential of which is around 240 Nm. The core of Hyundai Creta will have a new platform under the name HIVE, which means independent spring suspension on the front axle based on McPherson stands. All the wheels are equipped with disc brakes with ABS, and a steering – with electro amplifier.
Sales of Hyundai Creta will start in July 21, 2015, but a complete set and prices has not yet been announced. It is expected that the “base” model will receive central locking mp3 and radio player, a pair of airbags, air conditioning and immobilizer. Among the options – alloy wheels of 17 inches, Multimedia Centre with 7-inch “monitor”, navigation, keyless engine start, a rearview camera, six airbags and other equipment.
