The Devel Sixteen is a mid-engine hypercar concept designed in the United Arab Emirates by Devel Motors. In 2021 Devel Motors claimed that the quad-turbo V16 engine in the car would make it the fastest car in the world.

The claims

Devel Motors said that the Sixteen could produce 5,007 horsepower and reach 350 mph, with 0 to 60 mph in 1.8 seconds, at an announced base price of between US$1.7 million and over $2 million. Three models were planned: a base model with a V8 of around 1,500–2,000 hp, a V16 with around 3,006 hp and 2,407 lb·ft, and a track-only version with the quad-turbo V16 at 5,007 hp and 3,757 lb·ft.

What was built

In June 2022 one Sixteen with a V8 engine was produced, but its performance has not been confirmed. A 2024 report claimed that the only V8 car known to have been delivered was a body kit wrapped around a C8 Corvette, down to the Chevrolet “triple beep” sound when the key is left behind. According to a 2025 report, the planned V16 was made of two off-the-shelf V8 crate engines tuned to minimise vibration, and the project to build a functional car has not succeeded.
