History of the Daelim Roadwin

Carburettor and injection

The Roadwin is a city motorcycle with a 125 cc four-stroke single, cooled by air and oil and fitted with four valves. Two versions were built: one with a carburettor and one with fuel injection. The carburettor model existed at least from 2004 and was later replaced by the injected version to meet European emission rules.

Design

The bike was styled as a modern naked with an aggressive look in the classic roadster manner. The engine is held in a chassis with 17-inch wheels, a 110/70 tyre in front and a wider 140/60 at the back, both tubeless. Braking is by a 276 mm front disc and a 220 mm rear disc, each with a double-piston caliper.

Everyday use

With a 15-litre tank the Roadwin can cover about 450 km, and average consumption is around 3.0 litres per 100 km. The wet weight is 147 kg, and the five-speed gearbox uses a wet multi-plate clutch. Contemporary accounts described the model as good value for money.
