History of the Daelim Daystar
The 125
The Daystar was introduced as a small custom with a 124.1 cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine of four valves, cooled by a mixture of air and oil. The frame was a steel double cradle; the front suspension was a plain telescopic fork, and the rear used a hidden monoshock with no adjustment at all. Braking was a front disc with a rear drum, and the instruments were a speedometer, a tachometer and a fuel gauge mounted on the tank.

Injection in 2007
The original bike used a carburettor. In 2007 Daelim added the Daystar 125FI with electronic fuel injection, which replaced the carburettor version. The injected engine had different performance figures and a slightly smaller fuel capacity, but the styling was left unchanged.
The 2015 update
A further improved injected model appeared in 2015. It added a sensor on the side stand that prevented the engine from being started with the stand down and a gear engaged, a rear disc brake in place of the drum, and two visible chrome rear shock absorbers adjustable in height between two positions.
The 250
In 2014 Daelim presented a 250 cc version that kept the same styling as the 125 but offered better performance overall.
