History of the Aprilia Rally

Rally Air, 1994

The first Aprilia Rally, with an air-cooled 50 cc engine, was presented at the Bologna Motor Show of 1994. It stayed in production after the launch of the liquid-cooled version at the end of 1996, and at the end of the bike’s career it remained the only version, air-cooled, until 2004.

Rally Liquid Cooled, 1996

The liquid-cooled Rally was launched in November 1996 to stand beside the air-cooled one. Mechanically it differs by the radiator and the possibility of fitting a disc brake on the rear wheel. The styling differences are also marked: it has larger-diameter wheels, poly-ellipsoidal front headlights and air intakes for the radiator on the front shield.
