History of the Aprilia Mana 850
The Mana was previewed in September 2006 at a press event in Turin and shown to the public in November 2006 at EICMA in Milan. It carries the Ride by Wire technology that debuted on the Shiver 750 and a digital instrument panel with a gear indicator. Production ran from 2007 to 2016.

The CVT has three modes. Sport gives maximum power, engine braking and torque, Touring scales back the response and improves fuel savings, and Rain reduces torque by 25%. The transmission can also be set to manual and shifted with the standard foot pedal or with paddles on the left grip.
A partly faired version, the Mana 850 GT, debuted at Intermot in 2008.
Reception
Sport Rider tested the Mana at 13.49 seconds over the quarter mile at 97.72 mph. Motor Cycle News described it as a sort of half-scooter, half motorcycle designed to be the bike for all occasions, and What Bike? called it small, light, comfy and a dream to ride in town.
