History of the Quantya EVO1 Strada
Quantya S.A. was founded in 2005 by the entrepreneur Claudio Dick in Switzerland and concentrated on the development and production of sport electric motorcycles. The firm was based in Paradiso, a part of Lugano. Its main product was the electric motocross bike EVO1 Track, and the Strada was offered alongside it as a version derived from the Track but with approval for the road.
The Strada kept the layout of the off-road machine but was tuned down to 8.5 kW and weighed 95 kg – three kilograms more than the Track. The quoted riding time was the same 30 to 180 minutes. The price in 2009 was 8,075 euro excluding VAT, against 9,282 euro for the motocross version.
The company did not survive: in 2018 bankruptcy proceedings were opened against QUANTYA SA and then closed because there were no assets left to cover them.
